Image Compressor
Reduce image file size while maintaining visual quality.
Lower the file size of WebP images by re-encoding them at the quality you choose. Useful for WebP files exported at maximum quality, or downloaded images you want to slim down before reusing.
Your images stay on your device. They are processed by your browser and never uploaded. How this works
WebP, up to 50 MB each. You can also paste an image.
Transparent WebP images stay transparent after compression.
Files that are already compact are returned unchanged rather than made larger.
Ready to drop straight back into your website or app.

Creating WebP files requires a browser that can encode WebP: current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari can. If yours can't, Vexluno will tell you rather than produce a different format.
WebP was created by Google as a more efficient format for the web. Its lossy mode is based on video compression techniques and usually produces smaller files than JPG at similar visual quality. It also supports transparency and animation, combining strengths of JPG, PNG and GIF in one format.
Because WebP is already efficient, the biggest savings come from images exported at very high quality or at larger dimensions than needed. For the latter, the Image Resizer will help more.
Yes, but WebP files are often saved at very high quality settings. Re-encoding at quality 75 to 85 frequently cuts their size substantially with no visible difference.
Yes, they can be opened. The compressor saves them as lossy WebP at the quality you choose, which is usually much smaller. If keeping every pixel matters, keep the original instead.
Modern versions of Windows, macOS, and all current browsers can open WebP. If an app cannot, convert the file with WebP to JPG.
