JPG to PNG
Turn JPEG photos into lossless PNG files.
Convert PNG images to JPG for much smaller files, especially for photos and screenshots of photos. Choose the quality and the colour used to fill any transparent areas.
Your images stay on your device. They are processed by your browser and never uploaded. How this works
PNG, up to 50 MB each. You can also paste an image.
A photo stored as JPG is typically a fraction of its PNG size.
JPG is accepted by virtually every app, printer and upload form.
Transparent pixels are blended onto your chosen colour, not turned black.

Screenshots, some phone editing apps and design tools export PNG by default. For photographic content that results in large files with no real benefit. Converting those images to JPG, or to WebP for websites, is one of the easiest ways to free up space and speed up uploads.
JPG has no transparency, so transparent and semi-transparent pixels are blended onto a solid background colour. White is the default; choose a colour that matches where the image will be used.
Usually not. JPG can add faint smudges around sharp text and lines. Keep those as PNG and use the PNG Compressor, or use WebP for websites.
The default of 90 keeps photos looking like the original. Use 80 for a smaller file that is still hard to tell apart.
